Zarma Suuru

So in Zarma and in West Africa in general things go a little slower than in the states. One thing that you hear all the time is have patience, relax and don’t worry about it. It will get done when it will, or it will happen because that is the way things are. Here are some Zarma phrases that emphasis this philosophy.

Kala Suuru = Always Patience
Watikula, ni gonda suuru maradu = You always have a need for patience
Ay gonda Suuru = I have patience
Undunya goray ga ba suuru = To live in the world requires patience (Proverb)

A sinda Talli = It is not a problem
Talli si no = There are no problems
Talli kulu si = Always no problems

In Sha’allah = If god wills it (Arabic)
G’Ir’koy ba = If god wants
Ir’koy se = Because of god, or for god

Sambu wakan go ni se = Take what you can get (Proverb I translated from america)
Yami Yamo = For no reason
Cimi no = Its true
Ni ga Cim = You have truth
